Hello? Hello? Is anyone still here? After an AMAZING holiday break, I am jumping into PL and blogging again for 2014. Right now, I feel super motivated for both. Hoping to rock that feeling for as long as possible. Though I am hoping to share my 2014 set up very soon, I wanted to stop by today to share my (FINALLY!) completed 2013 cover page.
When I last shared my cover page, it looked like this. I discussed my personal obsession opinion that the photo on the cover should be from the current year. I mentioned that I was simply going to wait until the right photo presented itself. It was, after all, only March.
So, all year I have been patiently waiting for the right photo. I had it pictured in my mind. I wanted it to be in front of something big, so that Ken and I would fit in a minimal number of pockets. Some great photos were rejected because they were not clear enough to blow up to 8×12. Some great photos I used for other pages. So, when the last week of 2013 rolled around, I just picked one. It worked. With a little formatting, there was minimal chopping up of bodies. Did it jump out at me as the perfect photo for the cover? No. Do I really super love that the cover page is done? Absolutely!
Once I had the photo in place, the stripe card looked a little blah. So I added a tag (with some stitching) and an AE brush, cut on my shiny new cameo. I see the beginnings of a wicked addiction coming.

I love that you were so patient waiting on the exact right photo. I think it paid off perfectly.
